Is the 910 D2 Driver one of the best drivers?
The titleist 910 d2 delivers longer distance through a technologically advanced head design with a responsive, fast face insert that creates a ball-speed area that is 15% larger than other drivers. The patented, innovative, SureFit Tour dual-angle hosel provides precise and independent loft and lie adjustments to fine tune ball flight for more accuracy and control.
The
910 d2 features a higher launch, similar to lower spin with a more neutral to draw bias than the 909 series and with the introduction of the Sure Fit Tour (SFT) hosel have introduced what Titleist call a ‘tour van in a hosel'. The SFT hosel allows the loft and lie of the 910 d2 to be set independently and this ground breaking technology allows the club to be optimised independently to the individual player for launch and flight. The SFT system focuses on performance and fitting and matches Titleist's identity as a technology leader.
The
titleist d2 is a bit as good as the previous 909 versions. There was a slight improvement in forgiveness from the larger sweet areas and the optimized sound and feel at impact were excellent. Many golfers preferred the larger head as it also looked a little more 'conventional' at address. However, you should put looks aside and go for the model that the Titlist fitter recommends as that will give you the best results. Combining this with the SureFit Tour hostel and you have a driver which should meet all the needs of the better player.
For Titlest the new 910 D2 Driver represent a significant improvement in custom-fitting opportunities. Crucially, Titlest say that the 910 D2 drivers have been designed to offer a faster and more comprehensive fitting experience.
