The Titleist CB 712 Irons of the confessions
The
Titleist CB 712 Irons maintains the classic line, profile, solid sound, feel, and shot-shaping precision of classic forgings. However, it also provides modern playability, a benefit resulting from more than thirty years of player research and development, engineering innovation, and advances in manufacturing processes. Titleist CB 712 Irons are high-performance, shallow, forged cavity back iron with an improved feel, classic look, and superior shot control for the highly skilled golfer. Forged from 1025 carbon steel with modern satin chrome plating, CB irons feature constant blade lengths, minimal constant offset, and a thick topline.
Titleist updates the cosmetics with a new satin chrome finish and also updateds the sole design of the MB, taking a little bit off the trailing edge because the guy playing that club—a small blade, pure muscleback—is looking for crisp turf contact. The Titleist CB 712 Irons are described as "a reinterpretation, not a complete reinvention" of the previous CB 712 Forged Irons by Steve Pelisek, General Manager of Titleist. The Cheap Titleist CB 712 Irons replace the 710 model of the same name and given that it is was so successful, there are not any major changes. The biggest visual change is the chrome satin finish which we think looks great. The sole is a little wider and the trailing edge on the back of the head has a little camber on it, both of which make it a little more playable.
