Post subject:  Hutsby keeps his nose in front

Sam Hutsby added a more sedate 69 to his opening 60 to maintain the lead after two rounds of the European Tour Qualifying School's Final Stage at the PGA Catalunya Resort in Spain.
Starting on the back nine, the 23-year-old from Portsmouth began in similar fashion to yesterday's heroics with a birdie at the 12th and an eagle at the 15th, before two bogeys at the 16th and 18th halted his progress.
A two-birdie, bogey-free back nine helped Hutsby get back on track and stay clear of compatriot Andy Sullivan, who shot a six-under 66 to add to his opening 65 to lie two shots off the pace in second.
Hutsby admitted he didn't have the best day, so he was happy to card a 69.
I'm absolutely chuffed to bits with a 69 because I didn't feel like I played Left Handed TaylorMade R11 Driver
that well," he told europeantour.com. "But I've been trying to improve my B-game so when I'm not quite at the races, I'm just trying to eliminate the double-bogeys, so it's really pleasing. My short game was really tidy today which kept me in it.
"After yesterday it was always going to be hard to match that on a tougher course so I'm in a good position.
"It's a long week, though. Obviously we only do this once a year - play six rounds with Left Handed TaylorMade R11 Driver
in a row and two practice rounds - so it's mentally tough as well as the fitness aspect. I've worked hard on that so coming down the last few holes I hit some good shots, so it's nice to get myself in a comfortable position with four rounds to go."
Sullivan played Left Handed TaylorMade R11 Driver
in the victorious Great Britain & Ireland Walker Cup team earlier in the year and turned professional soon after.
"It's just nice to be playing Left Handed TaylorMade R11 Driver
well and seeing the ball go in the hole," said Sullivan. "It's a bit different from last week, when I left it until the last minute to get through.
"I just seemed to steadily make a few birdies. I felt confident coming here after the way I played with Left Handed TaylorMade R11 Driver
last week in the Second Stage. I just didn't hole enough putts, but in the last round last week I started to hole a few putts and I came into this week with a bit more confidence."
Swede Peter Gustaffson lies in third a further two shots behind Sullivan after a 63, tied with Australian David Mackenzie, who shot a 64.
A seven-man tie for for fifth follows another shot back on eight under.
