I was unsure whether or not the white head design would appeal to me. I purchased a 10.5 deg TaylorMade Burner SuperFast 2.0 Driver and was immediately pleased with the look and feel of the driver, white head design actually looks and sets up well at address. Ball flight and distance are all I had hoped for in a new driver. Solid hits are long, even my mishits are traveling further than I expect. I'm a happy Burner 2.0 customer! The TaylorMade Burner SuperFast 2.0 Driver delivers longer distance through a technologically advanced head design with a responsive, fast face insert that creates a ball-speed area that is 15% larger than other drivers. The patented, innovative, SureFit Tour dual-angle hosel provides precise and independent loft and lie adjustments to fine tune ball flight for more accuracy and control.Like the previous Burner SuperFast, weight is trimmed in as many places as possible. By using components such as a 25g Winn Lite grip, the SuperFast 2.0 takes the title of lightest TaylorMade driver ever, weighing in at a minuscule 279 grams. This reduction in weight combined with a tip-soft 46.5" Matrix Ozik XCon 4.8 shaft is said to promote a distance gain of up to five yards over the previous model. I recieved the Burner 2.0 and was super excited to hit the range and get "into the swing of things"... I have no such excitement to report. After going through my irons I decided to give my new toy a whirl...one swing later and my shaft was shattered and club head was 50 yards left!!!!!One swing, really?!!!?!!! |
