Titleist AP1 710 Irons review

As a Professional Club Builder for many years, I have built many many combinations of clubs, utilizing different shafts and iron heads. I recently ordered a set of theTitleist AP1 710 Irons, with the Project X Flighted 5.0 Shafts. I immediately saw unbelievable results, High Ball Flight, Perfect Ball Trajectory, Straight Ball Flight, Consistant Ball Carry Distance with all Irons 4 Thru GW. I have observed a much straighter ball flight and the alignment is so easy. All you have to do is align your club face to your target and pull the triger. I must say a vertical swing plane is not NOT, the best. However with a little more flat take away, sweeping motion, you will find yourself hitting target after target. I to have observed that the 4-5-6-7-8-9-pw an gw, all are very close to their yardadge. Irons as follows: 4=180 to 190, 5=170 to 180, 6=160 to 170, 7-150 to 160, 8=140 to 150, 9=130 to 140, PW=120 to 130, GW=110 to 115. These clubs have perfect transition throughout the set. I want to thank the staff at Golfsmith for the great sevice in ordering my clubs via my specifications. Oh these clubs are DURABLE, I had read they were not.. I have Played Three Rounds, NO SCRATCHES NO DINGS and the Tungsten Nickel Box IS UNDESTRUCTABALE. A must have set for the Mid to Low Handicapper. The clubs also allow work-a-bility. Absolutely the best Irons ever. Thanks Ronnie
We were impressed by the previous AP1 model so we couldn’t wait to get the new version out on the range. And we weren’t disappointed. As ever with Titleist the AP1 irons look great and we could really see the improvements that have been made to the short irons which are some of the best looking short irons we’ ve seen in a set with this level of forgiveness. We also liked the dual hosel lengths throughout the set which we felt made the long irons really easy to launch high and hit long. With feel and forgiveness throughout the set we think the Titleist AP1 irons will really appeal to golfers with handicaps in the mid teens.
