Australian Women's Open Golf 2012-Tseng ready to go

After winning last weekend’s Australian Ladies Masters, Christel Boeljon is ready to take on world number one Yani Tseng, who’s back to defend her title at the 2012 Women’s Australian Open.
Neither player will have it all their own way in a powerhouse field that contains six of the world’s top ten players including Norway’s Suzann Pettersen (#2), Korean Jiyai Shin (#7) and Americans Cristie Kerr (#4), Stacy Lewis (#9) and Brittany Lincicome (#10).
Joining them is Australia's World Golf Hall of Fame member Karrie Webb and Americans Morgan Pressel, Angela Stanford and new LPGA Tour member Lexi Thompson.
Yani Tseng has unleashed her new, more powerful swing in nine holes of practice at Royal Melbourne, honing the tweaks to her technique as she familiarized herself with the sandbelt course that will host the Women's Australian Open this week.
Tseng started 2011 with a title at the Women's Australian Open and went on to win a total of 12 tournaments, including two majors and seven on the LPGA Tour to finish a long way clear atop the rankings.
The 23-year-old Taiwan golfer started preparing for the 2012 Australian tournament - which kicks off a three-week Asian swing before the LPGA Tour moves to US soil next month in Arizona - by watching how Tiger Woods and Co. handled Royal Melbourne Golf Club's Composite course during the Presidents Cup last November.
In total, 18 of the 2011 Solheim Cup representatives will be in action in Melbourne.
Australians Katherine Hull, Nikki Campbell, Sarah Kemp, Kristie Smith, Lindsey Wright and Frances Bondad join Webb as the home challengers.
