Franchising is without doubt the business phenomenon of our time - the one business system that can take a brand from obscurity and, through the business format of duplication, make it a household name. South Africa’s franchise sector has seen many iconic brands, both international and home-grown, get recognition from many quarters but there is no doubt that recognition amongst one’s own peers remains a sought after accolade.
