Not Just Another Pretty Face -- ping i20 driver
I have always bought my
PING i20 Driverr based on performance along, aesthetics really did not matter as long as the club could perform as needed. However when I saw the new Ping I20 series driver, the looks along made me want to purchase this club. The black stealth look with the trim of chrome weights made the appearance of this club stunning. In a world of golf in which most clubs comes with nuts, bolts and wrenches, Ping has managed to effective put the nuts and bolts inside of the club and simply let golfers choose the modifications desired. Ping has unique player clubs and high handicap clubs without trying to combine the two. In my humble opinion, I think it is a good idea. Most golfers know what they are looking for and do not have to change from day to day.
That being said, the
performed extremely well on the test monitor and the range for me. I was able to work the driver at will with consistent launch patterns. This is a players club with added forgiveness. This is the first I-series driver I have ever purchased from Ping. Somehow, it is much easier to hit and work the ball then previous models. This club has looks, but don't let the good looks fool you, it also has the performance to match. It is not just another pretty face. I am sure it will be one of the hottest drivers of the year...thank you Ping!!!
The
has an aerodynamic 460cc head that is an especially good fit for golfers who rely on a low-spin, penetrating trajectory to maximize distance, accuracy, and workability. Two dense tungsten sole weights in the Ti 8-1-1 head elevate the moment of intertia for forgiveness across the clubface and they position the center of gravity for optimal launch conditions. Golfers with moderate swing speeds can also improve their launch conditions for greater distance and accuracy and the lower moment of intertia about the shaft axis gives the golfer complete command of the face at impact for shaping shots.
