The Dane and the Northern Irishman each produced flawless seven-under-par rounds to add to their opening-day 66s to finish on 13 under par at theTaylorMade RocketBallz Fairway Woods mark of the tournament and move one shot clear of overnight leader Rafael Cabrera-Bello of Spain, who added a 69 to his opening 63 to lie alone in third place. Three players lie a further stroke back on 11 under - Scotland's Scott Jamieson, who shot a 68, Frenchman Gregory Bourdy, who went round in 67, and Martin Kaymer, who is threatening after also carding a 67 - a round that featured the German's first ever hole-in-one at the 186-yard par-three seventh. With World No 3 Lee Westwood only one stroke further behind on 10 under after a superb 65 of his own, tied with Marcel Siem of Germany (69) and Scot Stephen Gallacher (65), it has set the stage for a weekend shootout between three of the world's best players and a number of seasoned campaigners and most talented pretenders to the throne. Co-leader Bjn may not be the favourite to take the title with so many top-ranked players in the mix, but he didn't hesitate to remind them of what happened at the Omega European Masters five months ago, when he also found himself pitted against Kaymer, McIlroy and Westwood - and emerged the victor. "They are people capable of amazing things, but I wonTaylorMade RocketBallz Fairway Woods in Switzerland with those three on the leaderboard and that's not long ago," said Bjn. |
