Nationwide Tour graduate Daniel Summerhays will take a two-shot lead into the final round of the Mayakoba Golf Classic at Mexico's El Camaleon resort.
Summerhays, who has yet to win on the PGA Tour after joining the elite ranks in 2011, shot a third-round, four-under 67 on Saturday to finish the day on 12 under par, two shots clear of fellow American Chris Stroud and four shots ahead of two more Americans, Michael Allen and Will Claxton, who are tied for third place. Summerhays had four birdies in his round and no bogeys, allowing him to move clear of Claxton and Englishman Greg Owen, the duo he shared the lead with after the second round. Owen now finds himself six shots back after a disappointing 73.
"Tomorrow, I'm just going to try and do the same things I've been doing all week," 28-year-old Summerhays said after his round.
"I'm going to try and hit the driver with Left Handed Ping G20 Driver really well again. My swing feels really good, so I'm picking out good targets. I'm judging the wind correctly and I'm managing it well.
"I'm really looking forward to the opportunity tomorrow to take the lead into the final round of a PGA TOUR event and see how I perform Left Handed Ping G20 Driver ."
Second-placed Stroud and Summerhays are the only players to have all three rounds so far in the 60s on this Greg Norman-designed course.
"The wind is everything on this course," Stroud said. "The wind has a huge effect on every shot, into the greens, off the tees. You have a lot of elevated tee boxes into the wind and you better hit it really straight off the tee or you're going to be in the mangrove out there and trying to find your ball."

Defending champion Johnson Wagner, who only made yesterday's cut by two strokes, shot a level-par 71 to remain one over par.
