I have to say that is the best driver I have ever put in my bag. I had a K15 and liked that I hit it stragiht but I had to deal with hitting it too high; even with a 9.5. The new G20 is amazing; I hit a nice straight boring shot. I have increased my distance by 20 yards over the K15. The looks of theping g20 driveris much nicer than the G15 and K15 and the large head makes you confident at address. Great job Ping!!!
Pros: Features, Quality, Easy to Use, Good Value, Durability
I've owned every PIng driver since the G5. The G20 has the same feel as the previous G series drivers with a longer head. The crown color is a deep metallic gray, and the bottom graphics is the best Ping has designed. The large face is assuring at address. Gives me that signal to swing as hard as I want. I can feel the ball compress into the face. Clubhead feels light and bouncy throughout the swing, yet impact feels strong. I have the same shaft in my G20 as my 910D2. The G20 is more wayward (possibly b/c the larger face promotes a harder swing). Distance is similar. I need more time to adjust to this driver. Not very different from the G15 or even G10. It has a larger profile, but performance is similar. Great driver from Ping, but no innovation here. Adjustable technology or simply a longer hosel would make this driver more attractive. Still the best driver at $300.
The G20 felt very good and certainly had some pop to it. The head looks massive and has a more low-profile look that I expected. Interestly looks more like a Callaway designed crown, but I do prefer the lighter colour to the former G15 look. The Tour Shaft did make a difference and added a more penetrating ball flight to my swing. Easy to hit, and can get the ball in the air, probably perfect for a 10-20 handicapper.
