Post What about the Ping G20 irons
The Ping G20 irons are designed to hit the ball long with forgiveness and distance control.
The sound and feel of the ping g20 at impact was every bit as good as the G15 and the flight was maybe slightly higher thanks to the extra weight in the sole. However get custom fitted by Ping to and you will get a set of G20 irons that will help you get the distance and trajectory to suit your game.
Ping have added extreme perimeter weighting in the deep, multi-cavity back of the irons which makes the 17-4 stainless steel heads highly forgiving. The multi-material cavity badge made with soft elastomer heel and toe sections improves the feel and sound of the club, while the cavity’s floating CTP structure stabilises the G20's thin face to generate fast ball speeds.
It is said, the is very similar to the G15's, with a slightly wider sole. But the former has a slightly wider sole. Different from the G15, the G20 Iron adopts a new soft layer on the back to help with sound, feel and vibrations. The difference is also reflected in the steel shaft, with more evenly spaced steps than the traditional AWT shafts, G20 gives the player another unique and interesting feel.
In terms of feel, this is a big area of improvement that really helped the G20 stand out, especially from earlier G5 and G10 models. All of them are cheap golf clubs. Lower handicappers will enjoy the feedback.
Overall, the G20 iron is a bit more evolution than revolution, but this is still going to be one of the best irons in the market for mid-handicappers.
