Post Re: Small Business Tax Help in South Africa
Dear Forum members,

I have a specific situation for which i request your advise and tips:

I have 16 portfolio of rental properties that are registerd in my name. The tax liability for these properties is based upon the tax provisions for individuals, which is high.

How can i reduce my tax liability with regard to the rental income received?I was toying with the idea, of opening up a CC,whose main function would be to recieve the rental income and pay all the expenses incurred during the production of this income. In that way, i am hoping that the income would then be taxed at the rate for CC thereby reducing my tax liability. Is this legal?

Thanx and regards

Godfrey

Godfrey hi!
I would highly recommend that you speak to an "expert" in the Property investment arena. Someone that I have dealth with personally is Dr Hannes Dreyer www.propertyschool.co.za/trusts-for-the ... ourse.html he would surely be able to assist.
Let us know the progress.
Keep well!
