Post Maybe Dr Dre Beats is expensive
I love to listen to good music. Beats by Dre Solo HD let you hear the full range of music. I have searched for the the pair that fits my music taste and never came away fully satisfied. I own Bose, Sony, Senneiser along with a number of ear buds but the Dr Dre Beats are the best I've experienced. I love the way I hear the full range--highs, medium and lows--of these headphones. It's a bonus that they also look great. While they fold up they are still bulky not easily portable like a Bose. I read other reviews about the fit and have to agree. They fit tight on the ears and cause ear fatigue after a short time of wearing them. However, these are my favorite and I highly recommend them.

Trust me, I own a pair of the Superman Beats by Dre, owned a pair of the Beats By Dr Dre Studio, own the Mixrs (decent balance while retaining great performance in the lows), and the Beats Pros, which are the most balanced. These headphones are quite nice for the sound. They add a new dimension while still adding the ability to hear the detail that you may be missing with other lesser headphones, but, again, they're still bass heavy. Now, if you're like me and would normally turn on the Hip Hop EQ anyways, these headphones just allow you to set the EQ to natural and still get the extra bass effect. I listen Rap, R&B, Rock, Metal, Pop, Dream Pop and I think these Monster Beats Lightning are perfect. They add more bass to the songs that I love bass on and add base to songs that have weak bass to begin with. That's a plus for me, not so much for those who want to listen to music "exactly the way the artist intended."
