Ping has reallly taken a liking to the fairway metal again, and in this age of hybrid mania, old guys like me, with a lot of sweep in our swing, are often better served by metals than hybrids. Ping has made sure that you don't feel shortchanged on the deal either. Despite their dubious decision to forego a strong 3 Wood (12-13*) in addition to a Regular 3 Wood (15*), they have gone ahead and included a genuine Ping G20 fairway wood (Hogan's favourite club) as well as a 7 Wood. They have also improved the stock shaft, and also offer a tour version of this new and improved stock shaft as well. They have indeed done a great service for those of us who love our Fairway Metals--but before I get too far ahead of myself, let me just say that they deserve an extra star for including all of the above named options in both Left and Right Handed Models. Plus, the external backweight on these is much more centrally located, rather than sporting a hefty heel bias. That also matches up well with the square set up on the face--thus truly making these clubs an excellent choice for the highly skilled player as well.
