Mount Vernon Athletic Club has been awarded the honor of being the United States Tennis Association, tennis rackets 2011 Mid-Atlantic Tennis Facility of the Year. The MTVAC tennis program, directed by Tim Bainton, has a staff of five certified tennis professionals and has seen exponential growth in the junior and adult tennis program in the last three years.Wilson BLX Six One[/url] MTVAC is one of only four tennis facilities in the Mid-Atlantic and one of 100 nationally to be awarded Competition Training Center status by the USTA. Along with receiving the Mid-Atlantic Facility of the Year, Bainton was awarded the USTA Virginia Teaching Pro of the Year 2011an award that proceeded being named the 2010 USTA Mid-Atlantic Teaching Professional of the Year, wilson blx and tennis professional Patrick Escalambre was awarded USTA Virginia Tournament Director of the Year 2011. |
