In coming Vampire Diaries, the Original matriarch will meet us.
In the eighth episode, titled "Ordinary People" and airing Thursday, viewers will get their first glimpse of Esther during a 1,000-year flashback featuring her children Klaus (Joseph Morgan) Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Rebekah (Claire Holt). Esther (Alice Evans), is as fierce as her sons, but tries to protect her family.
